Description

“Green” Douglas Fir shavings, planed from lumber that has not been dried. Product typically has a moisture content of 20-25% (versus 12-16% moisture content of kiln-dried shavings). Shavings are a large flake size, dust-free, extremely fragrant, soft and cushy. Ideal for horse bedding, as it does not break down into dust as kiln-dried shavings tend to do under hoof traffic.

Our shavings are the preferred product at many high-end equestrian facilities in the western United States, Asia, and the Middle East. They are the number one shaving when even low levels of dust are unacceptable.
