This fine grain aged fir bark is very dark brown in color. Dark Fines can be used as ground cover, or mixed with soils to lighten material and improve aeration. Tip: Keep in mind when using dark fines as ground cover, due to how fine this material is, it tends to stick to feet or animal paws and track around very easily. THIS PRODUCT CAN BE AN ECONOMICAL SUBSTITUTE FOR DARK HEMLOCK!
